A bursary is more than financial support. When structured well, it is recognition of potential and a strategic investment in access, skills development and transformation. NTI manages end-to-end bursary administration in close partnership with NewBridge Graduate Institute (NGI), a registered and accredited private higher education institution under the Department of Higher Education and Training. Through this partnership, organisations can support deserving students into NGI higher education pathways while NTI manages the administrative, screening, onboarding and compliance requirements that make the bursary programme easier to run and easier to verify.
Higher Education Pathways Through NGI
Through our partnership with NewBridge Graduate Institute, NTI enables organisations to extend their skills development investment into accredited higher education pathways. This gives bursary recipients access to recognised qualifications, structured student support and career-focused learning through NGI.
NGI offers degrees, diplomas and higher certificates across multiple campuses and study pathways. Its student-centred learning model emphasises small classes, structured support and career-relevant learning, helping students build confidence and capability as they progress. Qualifications are available across 8 campuses nationwide and through NGI Distance Online, giving bursary recipients the flexibility to study from anywhere in South Africa.
NGI qualifications are registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) through the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Depending on the qualification type, programmes are accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE), the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) or the relevant Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA).
NGI is also internationally accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC), an independent body that reviews institutional quality and operational standards.
